About the Company
STMicroelectronics is a global semiconductor leader that uses technology to power innovation and create meaningful impact for people, businesses, and society. Its chips and advanced technologies are part of the infrastructure behind everyday life.
By joining ST, you become part of a worldwide organization with more than 115 nationalities, operations across 40 countries, and a workforce of over 50,000 people who design and build technology together.
The company values collaboration, respect, and a strong desire to challenge existing ways of working. It aims to build smarter and greener technologies in a responsible and sustainable manner.
Role Overview
This position sits within the Outsourcing Subcontractor (Assembly and Test) Management team. You will support capacity planning activities for outsourced semiconductor assembly and test partners, ensuring ST’s capacity needs are booked and aligned with demand forecasts.
Reporting to the Capacity Planning Manager, the role requires close monitoring of capacity availability for your assigned portfolio, comparison against the S&OP demand plan, and active coordination across external plants to keep the supply plan aligned with changing demand.
Key Responsibilities
You will lead quarterly S&OP discussions with OSAT partners for your portfolio, secure capacity and material commitments, and coordinate control tower reviews focused on demand and availability alignment.
The role also involves reviewing saturation levels at OSAT sites, preparing spending projections from your analysis, and pushing subcontractors to resolve capacity gaps or material shortages. You will work with regional operations teams to align demand with day-to-day execution, partner with technical and quality teams on new equipment ramps, and gather market intelligence on capacity availability. In addition, you will maintain strong working relationships with OSAT partners while ensuring their KPIs support ST’s targets.
Requirements
Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree or a diploma with equivalent engineering experience. A background of at least 5 years in the semiconductor industry is preferred.
Strong Excel capability is required, along with experience using Power BI and handling large datasets. Candidates should also have technical understanding of semiconductor packaging and test processes, especially in planning and process contexts.
The role calls for someone who is highly driven, reliable under pressure, comfortable working to tight deadlines, and capable of solving problems consistently. Good teamwork, negotiation ability, numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and strong communication skills are also important.
Culture and Inclusion
STMicroelectronics emphasizes diversity, equity, and inclusion across its hiring and workplace practices. The company states that it does not tolerate discrimination and works to build a workforce that reflects the communities around it. It also encourages candidates to apply even if they do not meet every listed requirement, recognizing the value of varied backgrounds and growth potential.
