About the Company

Baazeem Trading Company is looking for a commercially focused Category Manager to drive the development and performance of selected product categories across the Saudi market. The position centers on category sales expansion, market growth, profitability improvement, promotional planning, and strong commercial execution.

About the Role

In this position, you will collaborate with Sales, Key Accounts, Trade Marketing, and E-Commerce teams to shape and execute category plans that support long-term growth, improve market share, and strengthen category profitability. This role sits within the Commercial & Sales Division and does not include procurement, sourcing, supplier negotiation, or purchasing responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Create and roll out category growth plans that support overall business objectives.
  • Review sales results, market movement, customer trends, and competitor activity to uncover expansion opportunities.
  • Take ownership of category sales goals, profit performance, and market share targets.
  • Prepare yearly category plans, promotional schedules, pricing inputs, and growth initiatives.
  • Work with Sales, Key Accounts, Traditional Trade, Modern Trade, and E-Commerce teams to achieve category targets.
  • Track performance across sales, margins, distribution, and other market KPIs.
  • Spot gaps in assortment and recommend improvements to strengthen category outcomes.
  • Drive product launch activities and contribute to go-to-market delivery.
  • Run regular business reviews and present practical recommendations to leadership.
  • Coordinate with Trade Marketing to ensure promotions and category initiatives are executed effectively in market.
  • Assist forecasting, sales planning, and commercial decisions using data analysis and market insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a similar field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in FMCG category management or trade marketing.
  • Solid knowledge of the Saudi FMCG market.
  • Demonstrated success in building category growth and delivering commercial results.
  • Strong analytical abilities and reporting capability.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to convert market intelligence into practical business strategies.

Preferred Experience

Experience with FMCG distributors, food, confectionery, snacks, or consumer goods businesses is an advantage.
