Communications Assistant

Role summary

POSSE is an Australian womenswear label recognised for timeless shapes and a strong focus on craftsmanship. As the business expands, it is seeking a highly organised Communications Assistant to help deliver the day-to-day work across PR, influencer engagement, and marketing operations.

This position belongs to the Communications team and plays a key part in coordinating gifting activity, influencer relationships, campaign preparation, PR workflows, and wider brand administration. You will work closely with several teams to help ensure launches, projects, and communication activities run smoothly and to a consistently high standard.

The role suits someone who has excellent attention to detail, communicates clearly, and is comfortable contributing to both creative and operational tasks. The position is located at the Sydney Head Office on the Northern Beaches and is part-time, with the option to work 2 or 3 days per week.

Key duties

In this role, you will support the planning and coordination of communications work across PR, influencer, and marketing channels. You will help manage gifting activity, sample movement, reporting, shoot preparation, and administrative tasks that support the broader Communications & Marketing team.

A major part of the job is keeping multiple workstreams organised, maintaining accuracy in every detail, and helping build efficient systems and workflows across the department. The role is best suited to someone who enjoys working across teams, can handle several priorities at once, and takes pride in delivering polished work.

PR and influencer support

• Arrange domestic and overseas gifting for affiliates, influencers, VIPs, and international PR agencies
• Manage shipping, returns, and package tracking
• Assist with sample lending, stock transfers, and showroom organisation
• Keep gifting logs, influencer records, and contact databases up to date
• Help handle influencer outreach and incoming partnership enquiries
• Support ShopMy and affiliate-related coordination
• Monitor press mentions and contribute to reporting files and shared PR presentations
• Assist with monthly PR and influencer reporting, including insights and performance tracking
• Help prepare PR assets such as invitations, lookbooks, and gifting materials

Marketing and campaign support

• Assist with the preparation of photoshoots, campaigns, and lookbooks
• Help source products and coordinate shoot logistics
• Prepare and resize visual assets for website and digital use
• Carry out market and competitor research
• Support ad hoc marketing and campaign tasks across the department

Administrative and operational support

• Manage ordering and stock of PR supplies and packaging materials
• Assist with stock checks and gifting administration
• Support Indigo8 ordering and end-of-month processes
• Liaise with external suppliers and service providers when needed
• Keep office, showroom, and back-of-house PR spaces organised
• Support cross-team coordination so launches and projects progress efficiently

Ideal fit for the role

POSSE is looking for a candidate who is highly organised, detail-focused, and able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats. Strong time management, prioritisation, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment are important.

The team values people who are proactive, resourceful, solutions-focused, and genuinely interested in fashion, communications, PR, and brand marketing. You should be comfortable working collaboratively while also taking ownership and initiative independently. A professional attitude and a strong sense of accountability are essential.

Preferred experience and tools

Prior experience in fashion, PR, influencer, or marketing environments is welcome but not required. Familiarity with Shopify, Klaviyo, Canva, Google Sheets, and Indigo8 would be advantageous.
