Role overview
MIS - Al Moammar Information Systems Co. is hiring an accomplished Cybersecurity Expert to drive security initiatives, reinforce the company’s overall security posture, and safeguard important information assets, enterprise systems, and digital services.
Key responsibilities
- Create, improve, and sustain cybersecurity strategies, policies, standards, and operating frameworks.
- Lead programs across governance, risk, compliance, and security operations.
- Carry out risk assessments and put suitable security controls in place.
- Track security events, coordinate incident response, and contribute to cyber resilience efforts.
- Lead vulnerability management, security reviews, and penetration testing activities.
- Support adherence to ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, NCA ECC, and other applicable cybersecurity requirements.
- Manage SIEM, SOC, threat detection, and continuous security monitoring capabilities.
- Run cybersecurity awareness initiatives and advise stakeholders on security-related matters.
- Prepare executive-level reports, dashboards, and cybersecurity performance metrics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree plus 20 or more years of experience, or a Master’s degree plus 15 or more years of experience, or a PhD plus 5 or more years of experience.
- Deep expertise in cybersecurity governance, risk management, and compliance (GRC).
- Background in security operations, incident response, threat management, and cyber defense.
- Working knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, and NCA cybersecurity requirements.
- Practical experience with SIEM, EDR, SOC, and security monitoring tools.
- Strong grasp of network security, cloud security, application security, identity and access management, and data protection.
- Excellent analytical ability along with proven leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Preferred certifications include CISSP, CISM, CIH, CISA, GIAC certifications, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor, Security+, CySA+, or similar cybersecurity credentials.
