Design Coordinator

Job Purpose

The Design Coordinator will be responsible for developing AutoCAD drawings from the brief and technical inputs shared by principals, clients, and consultants.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce AutoCAD plans, sections, details, specifications, and schedules within the required timelines based on project brief inputs from the principal, client, or consultant.
• Update drawings whenever the client or consultant requests revisions, ensuring the final output is approved.
• Visit project sites, carry out surveys, and prepare as-built drawings that accurately reflect site conditions and support smooth project execution.
• Explain drawing details and complexities clearly to help ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation.
• Work closely with architects, project managers, and quantity surveyors so they understand the information in the design package and receive any additional design support needed during project development.
• Use agreed computer procedures, templates, and formatting standards, and coordinate with team members to maintain consistency in drawing layout, presentation, and style.
• Verify that all deliverables meet the stated specifications, including any changes, variations, or amendments to the project.
• Study client or in-house architect sketches, drawings, and specifications, then convert them from concept-stage material into working drawings.

Skills and Experience

• Background in Architectural Engineering.
• Strong ability to read CAD drawings and technical schematics.
