Role overview

BGC Group is hiring for its expanding Europower Desk in Dubai. The business is a major international brokerage firm serving the financial and real estate sectors, with a strong emphasis on technology, adaptability, and high-calibre talent.

This position offers the chance to join an entrepreneurial desk that has been operating successfully for the last year and is continuing to grow its footprint in global energy markets. You will work closely with experienced brokers and support both the execution and administration of deals across European Power, Gas, and Environmental markets, while building practical exposure to the broking sector.

The desk focuses mainly on European Power, with additional involvement in gas products such as TTF, PSV, and NBP, as well as emissions markets. The role also provides exposure to an international client base across EMEA and the Middle East.

You will assist with trade booking and post-trade workflows, including entering deals into Trayport and handling related clearing tasks. Training will be provided on Trayport, internal tools, and market conventions, making this a strong entry point for someone aiming to grow a career in energy broking.

This is an office-based role in Dubai, and you will support UK and European market hours when needed.

Responsibilities

• Support the Europower broking team with daily administrative and operational tasks.
• Record trades accurately in Trayport and oversee the related post-trade clearing steps.
• Enter and update trade information in internal booking and trading platforms.
• Help brokers with trade capture, market commentary, and post-trade administration.
• Track developments in the European Power, Gas, and Emissions markets.

Regulatory status

The role requires consistently high standards of integrity, professionalism, and regulatory awareness.

You will be expected to work in line with applicable regulations, internal compliance controls, and desk procedures. This includes understanding relevant rules, following internal policies, and ensuring all activity is handled in a controlled, transparent, and compliant way.

Technical skills

• Good general computer literacy and ease working across multiple systems at the same time.
