Role overview
Apple’s IS&T Services Technology group is looking for an early-career full stack engineer to help create and improve internal platforms that support Apple TV Studio & Production and Music operations. The position involves building web-based tools, maintaining existing applications, and contributing across the software stack in a collaborative, high-paced environment.
What you’ll do
You will work as part of a broader engineering organization on tightly integrated applications. The role includes partnering with senior engineers as well as teams across Quality Engineering, DevOps, Design, and Product to design, test, and release reliable solutions. You’ll be supported as you develop your technical capabilities while delivering meaningful features for the team’s platforms.
Minimum qualifications
- Strong grasp of computer science basics and working knowledge of Java or Node.js, plus JavaScript and frontend frameworks such as Vue.js or React.js.
- Basic familiarity with database concepts and some hands-on exposure to SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Understanding of how to create or work with APIs, including RESTful and/or GraphQL approaches.
- Introductory exposure to cloud platforms and related services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- Introductory understanding of containerization tools and concepts such as Docker.
- Working familiarity with version control tools such as Git and continuous integration ideas, including tools like Jenkins.
- Some experience writing unit and integration tests with frameworks such as JUnit or Jest.
- Interest in learning new technologies and contributing to highly integrated systems.
- Good communication, teamwork, and interpersonal abilities, along with a proactive, question-friendly approach to problem solving.
