About the Company
The hiring organization has been operating since 1960 and manufactures piston assemblies, pistons, piston rings, high-pressure die-casting parts, and special coatings. It supplies components to OEMs in the two-wheeler and three-wheeler market, including TVS, Yamaha, Honda, Greaves, and MSIL.
Role Overview
This position focuses on engineering design and product development for automotive components, with emphasis on drawing preparation, documentation, and support for new part launches.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the end-to-end development of new parts and related engineering activities.
- Create 2D manufacturing drawings for cast and machined components and coordinate the required approvals and checking.
- Develop design drawings for cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, and mold components, ensuring they are properly reviewed and verified.
Technical Requirements
The role calls for strong working knowledge of AutoCAD. Prior experience with SolidWorks is preferred. The candidate should be comfortable producing 2D component drawings and maintaining design documentation. A solid understanding of automotive component design, especially for pistons, rings, and piston pins, is important. Experience with PPAP documentation and ECN/DCN processes is also required.
Eligibility
Applicants should hold a B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical Engineering, a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or Tool and Die Making.
