Engineering Painter

Role overview

This position is part of the Engineering & Facilities team at a hotel property in Singapore. The role focuses on keeping the building’s finishings and visual presentation in excellent condition through painting, surface preparation, and minor cosmetic repairs.

Core duties

• Carry out painting work across the hotel, including guestrooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and other facilities to preserve the property’s appearance and standards.
• Prepare different surfaces for coating by cleaning, scraping, patching, sanding, and priming where needed.
• Use the right tools and methods to apply paint, varnish, stains, and other protective finishes on plastered walls, ceilings, timber surfaces, metal fittings, and fixtures.
• Handle small touch-up jobs and minor surface repairs to maintain the hotel’s presentation quality.
• Complete all painting tasks safely, cleanly, and in line with hotel quality standards and workplace safety rules.
• Keep painting tools, equipment, and supplies in good working order, and store paints and chemicals correctly.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned from time to time.

Requirements

• Minimum educational qualification: GCE N Level.
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks and set priorities effectively.
• Should be available to begin work on short notice.
