Executive I - Materials

Role overview

This position is based in Ankleshwar, Gujarat, within the Supply Chain function. The role focuses on managing material inwarding, dispatch coordination, documentation, compliance, and cross-functional follow-up to keep material movement smooth and safe.

Key responsibilities

• Receive incoming materials by checking gate entry and inwarding against purchase orders, invoices, and other supporting documents.
• Work closely with transporters, buyers, and suppliers to close issues, resolve disputes, and address mismatches or shortages.
• Maintain full adherence to commercial procedures and applicable government regulations.
• Plan dispatches based on periodic requirements through stock transfer orders.
• Prepare dispatch plans for critical materials based on the priority list shared by the Purchase team and operational urgency.
• Oversee safe vehicle loading and prepare TC files as required.
• Coordinate with contractors for vehicle loading, barrel filling, and tanker loading activities.
• Coordinate vehicle movement with the security team for both inward and outward dispatches.
• Work on a day-to-day basis with Production, QA, Purchase, Planning, Central Supply Chain, IT, Accounts, Taxation, OPCs, IBU, Logistics, New Product Development, R&D, APPPG, and PPG teams.
• Support export operations by handling documentation and execution-related follow-up.
• Identify unsafe conditions proactively and ensure they are closed quickly to protect personal and team safety.
• Coordinate with transporters to secure vehicle placement for loading and dispatch.
• Manage manpower for truck dispatch, tanker loading, and barrelization activities.

Required skills and knowledge

• Working knowledge of SAP-MM, including transactions, movements, validations, and troubleshooting.
• Exposure to EWM in SAP or a similar warehouse management system.
• Strong command of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI or Tableau.
• Understanding of improvement tools such as Six Sigma and DOE.
