The Role

This apprenticeship offers the chance to build a career in professional floristry while working toward a nationally recognised qualification. No prior floristry background is needed. The employer is looking for someone who brings energy, imagination, a strong sense of responsibility and a real willingness to learn. The role provides hands-on exposure to multiple parts of the business, including retail floristry, weddings, events, customer service and online order fulfilment.

Learning and Training

You will work toward the LANTRA Level 2 Florist Apprenticeship through The Floristry School. Training is delivered through practical learning at Gardenia alongside weekly online sessions. From time to time, you may also need to attend in-person training or assessment days during the programme.

Working Pattern and Pay

This is a full-time onsite position based in Wimbledon, London. Working hours are 42 per week, with weekend shifts scheduled on a rota. The first year pay is £8.50 per hour, and future pay will be reviewed in line with apprenticeship and minimum wage regulations. The role is scheduled to begin in Summer 2026. What We Are Looking For

Applicants should be dependable, well-presented and comfortable engaging with customers. A creative eye, attention to detail and a willingness to accept guidance are important. You should be a collaborative team player who can cope well in a busy retail setting. GCSE English and Maths are required for apprenticeship enrolment. Candidates must also be able to travel reliably to Wimbledon for early starts, weekend work and peak seasonal periods.
