Housekeeper

Overview

Surgical Institute of Reading is seeking a full-time Housekeeper to support a clean, sanitary, and orderly environment at its Wyomissing, PA facility. The role focuses on environmental cleaning and disinfection, with routine housekeeping duties carried out across assigned areas.

Role Summary

In this position, you will complete regular cleaning and disinfecting tasks to help maintain safe and pleasant patient, office, and common spaces. The work requires consistency, attention to detail, and the ability to follow established procedures.

Key Duties

You will be responsible for routine cleaning functions in designated locations, including patient rooms, offices, restrooms, and other assigned areas. Duties may also include occasional or periodic tasks assigned by a supervisor.

Qualifications

Applicants should have completed high school or an equivalent level of education and bring two to six months of experience as an Environment Attendant. Prior hospital experience is preferred. The role also requires the ability to understand and follow cleaning methods, read and write instructions, maintain equipment in proper working condition, and carry out repetitive cleaning tasks reliably.

Schedule

The role follows a Thursday to Monday schedule, with Saturdays and Sundays required. Working hours are Thursday, Friday, and Monday from 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm, while weekend shifts are flexible.
