Position Overview
The Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division is looking for a Human Resources Assistant to join the Human Capital Management Group, specifically the Professional Recruitment Office in China Lake, California. Candidates are encouraged to explore federal HR career information through the HR Career Compass resource before considering an application.
Key Duties
- Support recruiting, placement, and staffing work by reviewing resumes, sharing information with the public, and assisting with Veterans Employment, professional hiring, and other employment-related programs.
- Help verify that employment offers and recruit packages are prepared correctly and follow the required procedures.
- Use Onboarding Manager to identify the documents needed for new hires, help bring employees onboard efficiently, and coordinate with OCHR-NE staff to resolve questions or issues related to personnel actions.
- Work with HR software and systems such as DCPDS, Onboarding Manager, E-Verify, the Civilian Workflow Automation tool, and the Talent Acquisition Portal to carry out HR tasks.
- Provide customer support for site visit travel arrangements, including visit requests and coordination, travel order preparation, itineraries, voucher processing, and amendments.
- Assist the HR Specialist in preparing site briefings for prospective candidates.
Compensation
The posted annual salary range is $47,490 to $76,476.
