Role overview
This opportunity is for an HR Manager based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, who will support business performance through strategic people initiatives, clear communication, and the ability to coach and enable others. The role sits within the Management Team and reports directly to the Managing Director.
You will be responsible for guiding the HR agenda for Jotun Saudi Co. Ltd., helping shape the workplace culture and driving people practices that support business expansion and employee success. The scope covers the complete employee journey, from hiring through to retirement, while keeping HR activities aligned with global, regional, and local business priorities.
Key responsibilities
- Use Jotun leadership tools to build, develop, and support the HR team so the organization has a skilled and engaged workforce for current and future needs.
- Provide strong, end-to-end HR support across the entire employee lifecycle.
- Oversee core HR areas such as compensation and benefits, recruitment and talent attraction, mobility, diversity and inclusion, organizational design, and HR systems.
- Handle inbound and outbound mobility services from start to finish, ensuring employees experience a smooth and tailored process.
- Apply and maintain group, regional, and local HR policies and processes while staying aligned with company standards and legal requirements.
- Work closely with internal partners to ensure HR plans and initiatives support business objectives, strategy, and culture.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with legal and governmental obligations.
- Lead local training activities and employer branding initiatives.
- Manage employee pension arrangements and insurance coverage.
Candidate profile
The company is seeking someone with a strong HR background who can balance operational execution with strategic thinking. The ideal person should bring international exposure, leadership capability, and the confidence to drive results through others.
Required background and competencies
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Human Resources or a closely related discipline.
- At least 10 years of experience in human resources.
- Experience in an international environment or within a multinational organization.
- Broad HR management experience covering both operational and strategic responsibilities, with ownership of the full HR cycle.
- Strong exposure to compensation and benefits, including market salary benchmarking, and preferably familiarity with KFHG grading and benchmarking methods.
- Fluency in both English and Arabic.
- Proven leadership ability with a track record of achieving outcomes through other people.
- Initiative and accountability, with a proactive approach and willingness to own outcomes.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to share knowledge and support team objectives.
- Good analytical judgment for handling complex issues and making practical decisions.
- Clear, structured communication style.
- Steadiness and reliability, especially in challenging situations.
- Strong execution focus, with discipline in following procedures and delivering high-quality results.
