Janitor

Role Overview

Bay Area Enterprises is looking for a Janitor to support cleaning operations at client worksites in Florence, OR. Key Duties

• Carry out routine janitorial work, including restroom cleaning and trash removal.
• Use required personal protective equipment and follow all safety practices.
• Apply sanitation and hygiene standards, use cleaning chemicals safely, and dispose of waste correctly.
• Handle and maintain cleaning tools and equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, polishers, and carts.
• Move and lift heavy items using safe handling methods.
• Perform recurring cleaning tasks like sweeping and mopping.
• Use suitable methods for removing stains.
• Identify hazards that could affect public safety.
• Read and follow operating instructions, policies, and procedure manuals.
• Participate in monthly and department training sessions.
• Complete other assigned tasks to help the department and organization meet its goals and mission.

Required Qualifications

• A valid driver's license and/or dependable transportation is required.
• Candidate must be able to clear federal, state, and local background screening.
• Must pass a drug test, excluding THC testing, and remain subject to random testing.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and perform moderate physical labor is necessary.
