Key duties

• Maintain hygiene throughout the kitchen by cleaning dishes, cookware, utensils, equipment, surfaces, and floors in line with health and safety standards.
• Assist chefs with straightforward food preparation tasks, including chopping ingredients, preparing items, and assembling simple dishes when asked.
• Support stock control by unpacking deliveries, arranging ingredients, and storing supplies correctly.

Candidate requirements

No previous experience is necessary, although a background in kitchen work, porter duties, or catering would be an advantage. The role also calls for a strong work ethic, physical stamina, good communication, and the ability to work well with others.
