Role overview
The Labourer position sits within the processing team and reports to the Fluid Production Manager. The role focuses on supporting Equipment Operators with professionalism, strong organization, and effective time management. It is also a role that can open the door to future progression into an Equipment Operator position.
What you will do
- Help build and sustain a strong safety culture by demonstrating safe work habits, encouraging open reporting, and sharing responsibility for workplace safety, while also supporting environmental efforts that reduce the company’s impact.
- Work in line with all labour, health, and safety legislation, regulations, and internal policies.
- Follow handbooks, operating plans, and management instructions so tasks are completed to required standards and regulations.
- Look after company-owned or managed tools, materials, and equipment by keeping them in good condition, clean, and returned to storage when not in use.
- Carry out cleaning tasks such as cleaning MVR plates, replacing concentrator filters, cleaning cyclones, tidying the areas around and under concentrators, and cleaning heat exchanger plates.
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the facility, including garbage removal, washroom cleaning, restocking supplies, and other general cleaning duties.
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time.
- Perform light maintenance work, keep records of what was done, and report any needed repairs right away.
- Support strong customer relationships by promoting goodwill and helping Inland deliver superior service and satisfaction.
- Work in alignment with the company’s mission, values, and long-term goals.
- Follow company standards, policies, procedures, and work practices at all times.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment and help maintain a positive group culture.
- Maintain productivity and efficiency throughout the workday.
- Take on other duties as assigned by management from time to time.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is considered an advantage.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to read, write, speak, and communicate effectively.
- Ability to understand documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance manuals, and procedures.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand tools.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Positive, easygoing, and respectful attitude.
- Self-motivated approach with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
