The role sits on the Marketing and Communications team and reports to the Senior Director, Marketing.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as a central link between the Programs and Marketing teams so that programs and related events are promoted consistently across every relevant channel.
  • Plan and run marketing campaigns for program launches, events, milestones, and other important updates across digital and social platforms.
  • Work with the Programs team to develop outreach strategies and recruitment materials for students and facilitators participating in in-person and virtual programs.
  • Create campaigns that increase signups for the learning platform by driving awareness, acquisition, and ongoing engagement.
  • Build engagement and retention plans for learning platform members using targeted in-platform marketing tactics.
  • Improve traffic and conversion to the learning platform through focused messaging, clear calls to action, and audience-specific plans.
  • Develop coordinated marketing assets for multiple channels while keeping the organization’s mission and voice consistent for different audience needs.
  • Reach out to students and alumni to gather content contributions for marketing use.
  • Support advertising creative, audience targeting, and message development to improve traffic and conversion for learning and program initiatives.
  • Monitor campaign results across channels and use performance data to refine tactics and strengthen acquisition and retention outcomes.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to work across functions and turn program objectives into practical marketing plans.
  • Strong project management skills and comfort handling several initiatives with many stakeholders at once.
  • Understanding of online learning audiences and what encourages participation, engagement, and long-term membership.
  • Experience building and running data-informed campaigns using audience insights and performance metrics.
  • Background in integrated digital marketing across social media, email, web, and community channels.
  • Excellent storytelling and content creation skills, including the ability to simplify complex ideas into accessible messaging.
  • Experience contributing to community-building efforts such as online communities, digital learning spaces, events, or member engagement programs.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, collaborative environment while managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong commitment to expanding equity and opportunity in technology for girls, women, and nonbinary individuals.
