Role overview

As a PM Transport Allocator within the Retail team, you will support a major Australian retailer by coordinating metropolitan and regional deliveries. This is a practical, fast-paced role covering allocations, route coordination, and dispatch activity to keep shift operations running smoothly. The roster follows a repeating four-days-on, four-days-off pattern, with 12-hour night shifts from 10:00 PM to 10:00 AM.

Key duties

• Work closely with drivers, customers, and internal teams to issue clear instructions and maintain constructive working relationships.
• Keep run sheets, delivery plans, and compliance records accurate and up to date.
• Stay in regular contact with customers so they are informed about delivery schedules and any changes that may affect them.
• Consistently follow safety procedures and Chain of Responsibility (COR) obligations.

About you

The ideal person is motivated, collaborative, and keen to learn. A positive attitude and strong commitment to doing the job well are more important than direct experience, although background in transport planning, driver allocation, or fleet allocation would be an advantage.

Working conditions

This position operates on a rotating schedule of four days on and four days off. Shift length is 12 hours, with work taking place overnight from 10:00 PM until 10:00 AM.
