About the Company
Emirates Electrical Engineering is a specialist business unit within Al Rostamani Group. It delivers end-to-end solar rooftop solutions for commercial and industrial properties in the UAE, and also handles the design and execution of turnkey electrical power projects such as high-voltage substations, cable networks, and transmission lines. Role Purpose
This role is focused on reviewing material requirements from different jobs and contracts, identifying suitable suppliers, securing the best possible pricing, and arranging the logistics needed for on-time delivery. The position also supports effective stock control in line with defined inventory norms.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the senior team in sourcing materials, equipment, hire services, labour hire, subcontracting, and related services for site needs, while following company procurement procedures.
- Collect supplier quotations, assess them carefully, and forward recommendations to the Senior Officer Purchase.
- Issue purchase orders and track deliveries to make sure materials and services reach the job site on schedule.
- Keep purchase and inventory records accurate, complete, and current.
- Review supplier performance to confirm delivery timeliness and product quality.
- Coordinate with divisional managers, project managers, site managers, and other stakeholders to fully understand site requirements and arrange procurement accordingly.
- Look for cost-saving opportunities and report them to management.
- Ensure all specifications, quantities, and applicable regulatory and legal requirements are met.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to improve the purchasing process.
- Help refine procurement methods to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Carry out any additional tasks assigned by the Senior Officer Purchase or management.
Requirements
- A graduation degree is preferred, ideally in Commerce, or a Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Supply chain certification will be considered an added advantage.
- At least 5 years of experience in purchasing project materials for an electrical contracting company.
- Background should include exposure to high voltage, low voltage, solar, or energy-saving projects.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems, especially the MM module; SAP experience is a plus.
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
- Well-developed organizational and time management abilities.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Good understanding of construction materials, equipment, and supply chain practices.
- Capable of managing several priorities at once and setting the right order of work.
