Company Overview
EVSE provides smart electric vehicle charging solutions, with products and services designed for residential, commercial, and public charging use across Australia and New Zealand. The business is committed to innovation and sustainability, and its wider mission supports the growth of electric mobility through a reliable charging network.
Exploren is a rapidly expanding charging network in Australia, focused on delivering convenient charging experiences for drivers at home, at destinations, and while travelling. As the network grows, it is helping improve access to fast charging infrastructure for both city travel and longer-distance journeys.
Role Summary
In this Project Manager position, you will work within a lean, agile team and take ownership of end-to-end delivery of Exploren Network Assets projects across New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory. The role covers the full asset and project lifecycle, including early-stage planning, design, construction, commissioning, and final handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning and delivery activities for network asset projects in line with the Exploren project delivery process.
- Develop scopes of work, technical specifications, project schedules, and cost estimates.
- Manage health, safety, environment, cost, timeline, and quality outcomes throughout project delivery.
- Coordinate site assessments, construction, and commissioning, working closely with contractors and suppliers to solve design and delivery challenges while keeping solutions safe, compliant, high-quality, on time, and aligned with customer needs.
- Work with Business Development Managers to contribute project and technical input for opportunity pipelines, case studies, and tender or marketing materials.
- Keep up to date with EVSE products, technology developments, electrical and EV charging standards, and ensure all health, safety, and environment obligations are met across projects and teams.
Candidate Profile
The role suits an experienced project manager with a strong background in electrical infrastructure delivery, particularly in large commercial and industrial settings. Experience managing complex projects or portfolios is important, and exposure to EV charging, commercial buildings, solar PV, BESS, HVAC, or similar environments would be highly relevant. You should be comfortable owning key project documents and deliverables to achieve safe and high-quality outcomes.
Qualifications and Technical Requirements
- A tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or a licensed electrician background. PMP certification is desirable, and White Card or HSE certification is preferred.
- A solid grasp of capital and infrastructure project management frameworks and principles, including PMBOK.
- Experience delivering LV power infrastructure, including AC and DC systems, with the ability to identify hazards, assess risk, and implement effective controls.
- Practical experience using health and safety and project management tools such as SafetyCulture, Microsoft Project, Airtable, Jira, and Confluence.
- Working knowledge of Australian electricity networks, including DNSP and TNSP environments, and familiarity with electrical design and safety standards such as AS/NZS 3000, 3008, 61439, 3017, and 3760.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across stakeholders, build customer relationships, and tailor solutions to different audiences.
- Experience contributing to or leading continuous improvement initiatives linked to quality management systems such as ISO 9001.
