Role overview
In this role, you will lead assigned projects from start to finish in partnership with a designated project owner and project team. The position focuses on driving successful outcomes, coordinating with departments and senior leaders, and applying structured project management methods to plan, launch, and oversee execution. You will also make sure updates and communication flow effectively to the home office, clubs, and other key stakeholders so that delivery remains consistent across the organization.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and run the meetings needed with the project owner and project team so priorities stay clear, time is used well, and deadlines are met.
- Manage several projects at the same time.
- Prepare and maintain project plans, documentation, and reports, along with clear goals, agendas, accurate meeting notes, and follow-up action items when needed.
- Build collaborative relationships within the team and encourage engagement while keeping the group focused and accountable.
- Take a firm, proactive approach to keeping work moving forward, and partner with the project owner to resolve issues quickly when challenges arise.
- Maintain a strong grasp of each project being led and stay fully in control of the project lifecycle.
- Apply sound project management practices and use available tools and resources for documentation, communication, and reporting to support consistent project delivery.
Requirements
- College diploma, university degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- PMP certification, an equivalent certification, or active progress toward PMP or another project management certification.
- Three to five years of experience with a strong record of delivering projects using recognized project management best practices.
- Solid knowledge of the project management lifecycle, including both Agile and traditional approaches, with the ability to use a hybrid method based on the project and business context.
- Experience using project and portfolio management software and related tools.
Compensation
The base salary begins at CAD 78,000. This role is also eligible for bonuses. Total annual compensation is expected to fall between CAD 78,000 and CAD 110,000, depending on performance, time in the role, and variable pay earned.
