About the Role
Barot Consultancy Services is seeking a Purchase Engineer for its operations in Ahmedabad, India. This role is crucial for managing the procurement of all raw materials essential for chemical reactions within a large textile industry setting. A strong background in purchasing dyes and chemicals for fabric dyeing and other related processes is a mandatory requirement.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the end-to-end purchasing process for all raw materials required for chemical reactions.
- Specifically handle the procurement of dyes and chemicals vital for fabric dyeing and other textile manufacturing processes.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials while maintaining quality standards.
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand material needs and forecast demand.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms.
Requirements
- Proven experience in purchasing raw materials for chemical processes, particularly within the textile industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in procuring dyes and chemicals for fabric dyeing.
- Strong understanding of procurement best practices and supply chain management.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
