This opportunity sits within the India Commercial Organization in Bengaluru and follows a hybrid working model.
What you’ll be doing
- Check incoming and outgoing materials at the Hach facility, including items received from vendors and items dispatched after completion.
- Inspect inbound supplies such as panels, tubing, fittings, sensors, transmitters, and electrical or mechanical parts.
- Cross-check materials against purchase orders, BOMs, P&IDs, GA drawings, and technical specifications before they are released for production or project assembly.
- Carry out final outbound inspection of analyzer panels, sampling systems, and integrated packages before shipment to confirm they match approved drawings and project requirements.
- Visit project sites before bidding for revamp or refurbishment work to verify the site conditions and identify the right solution.
- Support and observe Factory Acceptance Tests and customer inspections, ensuring equipment functionality, calibration readiness, and complete records.
- Maintain traceable quality records such as material test certificates, inspection reports, and calibration certificates.
- Raise non-conformance issues when needed and work with vendors and internal teams on corrective and preventive actions.
- Follow the company’s Integrated Management System requirements, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
- Handle liquid analyzer-related work such as calibration, functional testing, and customer demonstrations during FAT.
What the role calls for
- A degree or diploma in Engineering, preferably in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Chemical.
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience, with responsibility tied to service revenue growth.
- Strong ability to interpret engineering documents such as P&ID drawings, GA drawings, and wiring diagrams.
- Hands-on experience verifying inspections against BOMs, technical specifications, and purchase orders.
- Background in quality documentation control, including MTC/TC, inspection reports, and calibration certificates.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards and IMS practices.
- Readiness to relocate anywhere in India based on business needs.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate across cultures, locations, and business functions.
- Good command of MS Office; exposure to Copilot AI tools will be considered an advantage.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and action-driven approach to work.
