Senior Electrical Engineer

Overview

Distinct Architect Contracting Company is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for a mixed-use commercial project in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. This role sits across technical office and site coordination, and the company is looking for someone who can join immediately or on very short notice.

The project spans multiple buildings and public-destination facilities. The electrical scope includes MEP works, first-fix electrical and ELV infrastructure, substation and MV/LV provisions, lighting, power distribution, earthing and lightning protection, ICT/ELV systems, fire alarm, security systems, BMS, data and communications, underground duct banks, utility coordination, testing and commissioning, and handover documentation. The contract also demands close coordination across architectural, structural, MEP, landscape, infrastructure, and authority-related work.

Technical Office and Site Coordination

• Interpret electrical and ELV drawings, specifications, BOQs, and overall project requirements.
• Develop, review, and coordinate shop drawings, material submissions, RFIs, method statements, and technical proposals.
• Ensure electrical works are properly coordinated with structural, architectural, mechanical, infrastructure, and landscape teams.
• Track consultant approvals and confirm compliance with project specifications, Saudi Building Code, SEC standards, Civil Defense, CST, IEC, NFPA, IEEE, TIA/BICSI, and other relevant codes.
• Assist procurement by technically assessing suppliers, materials, and subcontractors.
• Oversee site execution so installation matches approved drawings and project expectations.
• Handle first-fix electrical and ELV activities such as conduits, containment, sleeves, risers, cable trays, underground duct banks, manholes, backboxes, and coordination openings.
• Prepare redline and as-built drawings, testing and commissioning records, closeout documents, and final handover submissions.
• Coordinate regularly with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.

Additional Information

Applicants should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing pressure on a fast-track project. Experience in Saudi Arabia is preferred, and LEED exposure is considered a strong advantage.
