About the internship

This role is based in a luxury bridal couture boutique in Kala Ghoda, Mumbai, and is centered on keeping the store experience smooth, polished, and customer-focused. The intern will get hands-on exposure to premium retail operations while supporting a label known for handcrafted bridal and occasion wear.

Mala & Kinnary is the direct-to-consumer bridal label under Maasama Luxury, a Mumbai-based design and export atelier with more than 20 years of experience in intricate hand embroidery. Alongside its global custom embroidery work for luxury houses and hospitality spaces, the label creates bridal and occasion wear that combines classic elegance with contemporary silhouettes.

Its collection includes handcrafted lehengas, gowns, sarees, and custom bridal ensembles, all carefully embellished and inspired by Indian artisanal traditions. With a retail studio in Kala Ghoda, Mumbai, and a sampling workshop in Pune, the brand serves modern brides through a highly personal approach.

What you will do

• Welcome walk-in customers and help create a courteous, personalized in-store experience.
• Support the team with garment and accessory display, as well as visual merchandising upkeep.
• Work with the production and alterations teams to follow customer orders and delivery schedules.
• Handle customer appointments and maintain updated customer records in the system.
• Assist with daily boutique operations so the store runs efficiently throughout the day.
• Help with stock verification, movement of samples, and upkeep of store cleanliness and presentation.
• Build familiarity with luxury retail service standards and customer relationship management practices.
