Task Associate

Role overview

Ulta Beauty is looking for a Task Associate to help keep store operations running smoothly and support an engaging shopping experience for guests. The role centers on maintaining stocked fixtures, supporting store cleanliness, and completing assigned operational work with care and accuracy. It also involves working closely with the Merchandise Manager and Operations Manager while following company standards, procedures, and compliance expectations.

Key duties

• Help the store reach or exceed retail targets by making sure assigned tasks are completed on time and products are available for customers.
• Support dashboard, shipment, replenishment, merchandise set, and inventory activities so operational goals are met.
• Arrive on time and maintain dependable, regular attendance.
• Contribute to an inclusive workplace that supports teammates, peers, and guests.
• Take part in continuous learning, including brand and category training, to build skills and support sales performance.
• Follow company policies, procedures, standards, and dress code requirements.
• Complete resets, planograms, marketing displays, physical inventory work, and shipment processing using company technology and established best practices.
• Keep assigned areas stocked, signed, faced, and ready for shoppers, including ensuring testers are available.
• Maintain a clean and orderly store environment across the sales floor, restrooms, cashwrap, backroom, and break room.
• Help protect company property by following loss prevention practices and delivering excellent guest service.
• Carry out other operational assignments as directed.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma is preferred.
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience, or an equivalent mix of education and related experience, is preferred.
• Comfort using basic technology such as point-of-sale systems and Apple devices.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Strong problem-solving ability.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include early mornings, days, evenings, weekends, overnights, and holidays.

Working conditions

• Continuous movement throughout the store during the shift.
• Frequent standing, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, and twisting.
• Regular lifting, carrying, and moving of items up to 25 lbs during the shift.
• Continuous coordination and handling of objects while working.

Pay and benefits

The hourly pay range for this role is $16.00 to $20.00. Final pay will depend on factors such as education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business needs. Eligible employees may also receive overtime pay where required by law.

Full-time employees may qualify for paid time off along with health, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits. Part-time employees may qualify for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
