Job overview

The Middle East office is looking for an AC Mechanic to join the Saudi Arabia team. The role is centered on keeping air-conditioning systems aboard marine vessels working correctly through maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.

Key responsibilities

  • Fit, examine, service, and repair air-conditioning systems installed on marine vessels.
  • Identify faults in AC systems, trace the underlying cause, and recommend practical fixes.
  • Carry out scheduled maintenance to maintain performance and reduce the risk of breakdowns.
  • Check refrigerant levels, pressure readings, and temperature settings to stay within required standards.
  • Maintain clear and accurate logs for maintenance work, repair activities, and spare parts used.
  • Support repairs to vessel equipment and machinery when needed.

Required profile

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience as an AC Mechanic, ideally in marine or similar settings.
  • Strong understanding of AC systems, their components, refrigerants, and correct handling/disposal practices.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manuals, along with solid fault-finding skills.
  • Knowledge of safety rules and regulations relevant to air-conditioning maintenance in marine environments.
  • Diploma or professional certification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning is compulsory.
  • Good physical fitness and comfort working in confined or difficult conditions.
  • Willingness to travel on short notice anywhere within Saudi Arabia.

Working arrangement

This is a full-time role with an 18-weeks-on and 9-weeks-off rotation schedule.
