About the Role

Join Rent-A-Center as an Account Manager and embark on a career with significant growth potential. This role is designed for individuals seeking to build strong customer relationships, drive sales, and manage rental accounts effectively. Many of our current leaders, including Store Managers and Regional Vice Presidents, began their careers in this position. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, promoting new products, ensuring account health through collections, handling merchandise deliveries and pickups, maintaining store presentation, and adhering to company values.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a dedicated portfolio of customer accounts, fostering strong, lasting relationships.
• Conduct initial collections for accounts that are 1-6 days past due, meeting established targets.
• Utilize account management tools to maintain account stability and secure payment commitments.
• Execute scheduled routes for merchandise delivery, retrieval, and customer follow-ups.
• Provide outstanding customer service through in-store interactions, phone calls, and home visits.
• Actively contribute to sales objectives by generating new rental agreements.
• Safely transport, install, and manage merchandise.
• Uphold showroom appearance standards and maintain company vehicles.
• Strictly follow all company safety and operational protocols.

Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Demonstrate strong communication and customer service capabilities.

Physical Requirements

• Capability to lift and maneuver heavy merchandise.
• Proficiency in operating a box truck.
• Ability to remain standing and driving for extended durations.

Schedule & Work Environment

• This is a full-time position, operating Monday through Saturday.
• Employees receive Sundays off along with one additional weekday off.
• The role is physically demanding, involving frequent lifting, bending, and standing.

Additional Information

New hires are eligible for a $500 bonus, disbursed as $250 after 30 days of employment and another $250 after 90 days.

The starting hourly wage ranges from $15.30 to $16.45.
