Role Overview
This position is for an Account Manager based in Singapore. The role focuses on growing strategic customer accounts, identifying new market opportunities, and strengthening long-term relationships to support solution-based selling.
Key Responsibilities
You will work closely with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders in a technical and engineering-led environment to uncover design opportunities, solve business challenges, and improve customer satisfaction across supply chain and value-added services.
- Identify high-potential markets and new customers within the assigned sales territory, then shape a strategy to expand business.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customer contacts involved in design decisions and account development.
- Support customer satisfaction through supply chain management and other value-added services.
- Apply knowledge of electronics industry pricing structures, programs, and commercial models.
- Create strategic account plans for assigned customers and position the full Arrow portfolio, including key supplier lines.
- Prepare internal quarterly business reviews and present action plans that drive sales growth, demand creation, and better service.
- Lead regular quarterly business reviews with major customers to surface additional sales opportunities.
- Promote Arrow’s value-added services, supply chain solutions, and full life-cycle programs.
- Use sales tracking tools and systems effectively, including Salesforce.com and Oracle Establish.
- Develop productive relationships with key suppliers.
- Solve complex problems independently using existing approaches and, when needed, a fresh perspective.
- Contribute to process improvements and support colleagues with less experience.
- Work with minimal supervision and provide informal guidance to junior team members.
Experience and Requirements
The role typically calls for 5–7 years of relevant experience with a four-year degree, or 3 years of experience plus an advanced degree, or equivalent work experience.
Candidates should bring strong exposure to customer-facing sales in technical or engineering settings, along with experience handling vendors and customer relationships.
