Job description
Role overview
As an Animator, you will craft polished motion for computer-generated characters, creatures, and objects within individual shots. This work is done using a range of animation tools and under the guidance of Senior-Level staff and Animation Supervisors.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver complete animation for a set of shots on a designated project.
- Work with colleagues to explore artistic solutions and contribute feedback during regular dailies sessions.
- Keep productivity steady, meet agreed deadlines, and maintain a high standard of output.
- Handle additional tasks connected to the production of computer-generated animation.
- At times, create animation reference material, including recorded performances, to support assigned shots and assist the animation team.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Traditional Animation or an equivalent qualification, along with 3 years of relevant experience, is preferred.
- Alternatively, candidates with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in cel animation, stop-motion, or computer animation may be considered.
- Working knowledge of Linux is an advantage.
- Strong command of Maya, proprietary tools, and related software is required.
