Key responsibilities

  • Contribute to major operations transformation programs in coordination with KGS India leadership and global KPMG member firms.
  • Review the existing operating model end to end, covering people, process, and technology, and help shape and implement the future-state model in partnership with the service lines.
  • Spot opportunities to improve processes through lean methods, automation, right-shoring, and similar transformation approaches, then help put them into action.
  • Examine business data, interpret findings, and convert them into practical insights.
  • Assist with research for internal and external benchmarking studies.
  • Facilitate problem-solving and ideation workshops with project stakeholders.
  • Draft analysis papers, solution proposals, and other project outputs while ensuring timely delivery and strong quality standards.

Education and qualifications

A graduate or engineering background is required, preferably from institutions such as REC, NIT, or IIT. An MBA from a top-tier college is also required. Additional value is given to candidates with a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, PMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner certification, or qualifications related to data analytics and intelligent automation.

Experience and skills

The role calls for 5 to 8 years of total experience, including at least 3 to 4 years of independently managing transformation projects in large global organizations or consulting environments. Candidates should bring strong expertise in lean and Six Sigma-based transformation, practical exposure to intelligent automation opportunities such as process mining, RPA, AI, and workflow tools, and experience designing global operating models that use both onshore and offshore delivery centers.

Strong analytical ability, structured problem solving, data interpretation, and project management skills are essential, along with the capacity to juggle multiple workstreams or projects simultaneously and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Strong communication and a proactive, execution-oriented mindset are also valued.
