Job description
About the Role
Julius Baer values the individuality each person contributes and encourages an environment where employees can make an impact, work entrepreneurially, take ownership, and help create value that goes beyond wealth. The Assistant Relationship Manager (ARM) plays an important part in the Private Banking team by supporting the Relationship Manager (RM) and Group Head (GH) in day-to-day client service, administration, and relationship management.
In this role, you will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders, share relevant information with clients, and help deliver tailored solutions that support excellent service. You may often be the first person a client speaks to, so building trust and making a polished, professional impression is a key part of the job. Strong people skills and a genuinely service-focused attitude are essential.
The ARM is expected to process client instructions accurately and on time, handle enquiries efficiently, and escalate matters to senior colleagues when needed. The role also includes support with presentations, meeting coordination, events, business travel, and research or analysis as required. Acting as a service role model, the ARM helps maintain high quality standards, supports client base growth, and routes feedback to the right teams to encourage continuous improvement. This position forms a central part of Client Relationship Management.

Risk, regulatory, and control responsibilities
- Contribute to risk management as part of the first line of defence, especially in relation to client documentation and issue escalation.
- Follow local regulations and internal policies in areas such as account openings, payment instructions, client call reviews, and approvals within personal authority.
- Clear pending items and escalate deficiencies in a timely manner.
- Maintain ethical, compliant behaviour in all work activities.
- Record client interactions and instructions clearly and accurately in the relevant systems such as CRM or DiAS.
