Role Overview

The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in the everyday running of the Cohuna store. This is a practical, customer-facing position where you will help guide the team, keep operations running efficiently, and step in to lead when needed.

Key Duties

  • Work alongside the Store Manager to handle daily store activities and guide the team.
  • Help manage stock levels, inventory processes, and coordination with suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with both new and returning customers.
  • Provide informed sales assistance and product guidance within a rural retail environment.
  • Support the rollout of policies, operational procedures, and compliance expectations.
  • Take over Store Manager responsibilities during absences or leave periods.

About You

We are looking for someone with 2–3 years of experience in retail, sales, or merchandising, ideally in rural or agricultural retail. You should be confident in customer service, capable of building strong working relationships, and comfortable with store operations and stock handling. A background in retail, sales, merchandising, or frontline management through a certificate or similar qualification is preferred.
