Job description
Role Overview
This position supports the day-to-day running of the venue’s food and beverage operations in Doha. The role focuses on delivering smooth service, maintaining standards, coordinating the team, and making sure guest needs are met efficiently and professionally.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Work with the team to make sure service runs smoothly and guests receive timely, attentive support.
- Check staff presentation, grooming, and uniforms, and correct any issues when needed.
- Carry out opening and closing procedures, including arranging supplies, preparing tools, cleaning work areas and equipment, and securing doors.
- Review storage spaces to ensure items are organized, clean, and managed using FIFO principles.
- Help complete inventory checks and request supplies when stock is running low.
- Monitor dining areas for seating availability, guest safety, service quality, and overall comfort.
- Raise maintenance concerns and complete work orders for repairs.
- Support hiring, training, rostering, coaching, performance reviews, counseling, and discipline under management guidance.
- Act as a point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process.
- Follow company policies, safety rules, and security procedures, and report accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions.
- Complete required safety training and certifications.
- Maintain a neat, professional appearance and protect confidential and company information.
- Welcome all guests warmly, respond to service needs, assist guests with disabilities, and show genuine appreciation.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers and maintain positive working relationships.
- Support team goals and help improve efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost effectiveness.
- Read and verify written information carefully, including small print and formatted materials.
- Inspect tools, equipment, or machines visually to identify defects or issues.
- Handle physical duties such as standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, and moving objects up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Work in narrow, confined, or elevated areas and move up and down stairs or service ramps when required.
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisors.
Preferred Profile
The employer is looking for someone with at least 2 years of relevant work experience and at least 1 year of supervisory experience. A high school diploma or GED-equivalent is preferred. No license or certification is required.
