Job Summary

The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving drinks promptly while providing excellent guest service. This role includes managing bar security, cash handling, and physical setup and cleanup of the bar area. The Bartender acts as a key face of the business and reports directly to the Food & Beverage Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise guests on drink selections that complement menu items.
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of beverage recipes, ingredients, and preparation methods for recommendations.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently.
• Process requisitions for beverages and general supplies.
• Ensure guest satisfaction while communicating feedback and complaints to management.
• Identify guests who may be over-intoxicated and promptly notify management.
• Participate in emergency and security protocols as outlined by management.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderly setup of indoor and outdoor bar areas and perform side duties as assigned.
• Assist with organizing kitchen supplies, including food storage, equipment, and cleaning materials.
• Carry out delegated projects and assist departments based on business needs and staffing.
• Adhere to all Food and Beverage department policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of bartending experience in a dynamic setting.
• In-depth knowledge of cocktails, beers, wines, and spirits.
• Proficient cash handling and system operation skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, multitasking, and time management skills.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude.
• High school diploma or equivalent; bartending certification preferred.
• Mandatory food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe).
• Awareness of local alcohol laws and hospitality regulations.
• Understanding of Dubai’s hospitality industry is advantageous.
• Ability to thrive in a multicultural work environment.
• Willingness to work varied hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
