BIM Coordinator

Role overview

The BIM Coordinator will steer the creation and integration of highly detailed 3D models that are ready for fabrication at LOD 400. This role focuses on multi-discipline model coordination to reduce site rework and enable off-site manufacturing workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Review, combine, and coordinate trade-specific models, including MEP and structural disciplines, into one federated model with accurate fabrication-level geometry.
• Run weekly clash detection exercises in Navisworks Manage, lead coordination discussions with subcontractors, and ensure all issues are closed out completely.
• Apply the BIM Execution Plan and project standards consistently, while managing the common data environment through BIM 360 or ACC, including access control, version management, and information exchange.
• Check that deliverables meet LOD 400 expectations for dimensions, material information, and system connectivity before shop drawings and spool drawings are produced.
• Work with site teams to collect redlines and on-site changes, then update models toward LOD 500 for digital handover and as-built documentation.
