About the role

This position is for a Brand Strategist who will shape and guide a broader brand and social media growth plan. The emphasis is on building audience momentum, refining content direction, and strengthening brand identity through organic engagement first, with paid social used as a supporting lever.

Key responsibilities

  • Create and steer audience expansion plans for Instagram, TikTok, and other relevant social channels.
  • Shape content pillars, messaging themes, and positioning that help the brand stand out online.
  • Advise on short-form video and Reels strategy, including posting rhythm and content formats.
  • Design community engagement ideas and support creator/fan partnership opportunities.
  • Offer strategic paid media guidance across Meta Ads, TikTok, and YouTube when it supports brand growth.
  • Identify priority audiences, segmentation approaches, and potential growth paths.
  • Work closely with the filmmaker and internal stakeholders to ensure social direction matches wider brand goals.

Requirements

  • Background in audience growth, social strategy, and paid media, ideally for entertainment, media, or creator-led brands.
  • Hands-on understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Meta platforms, and short-form video storytelling.
  • Strong grasp of community development and creator engagement tactics.
  • Comfort working independently as a freelance advisor while providing strategic recommendations.
  • Preference for candidates based in the US, or those with deep familiarity with US film and entertainment audiences.
