About the Company
This role sits within a fast-growing healthcare AI business that builds software and services to help healthcare organizations spot and reduce fraud, waste, abuse, and payment leakage. The company’s platform supports network management, clinical operations, provider coding and billing, payment integrity, and special investigation teams using an AI engine designed to detect suspicious patterns earlier and more efficiently than traditional methods. It is backed by well-known investors and operates with strong financial support.
Role Overview
The Business Analyst will play a key part in onboarding healthcare claims data into the platform, checking data quality, validating outputs, documenting business needs, and supporting reporting and mapping work. The position works closely with customers, implementation specialists, engineers, data teams, and product partners to keep data accurate and implementations on track.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze healthcare claims, provider, and member information to identify trends, inconsistencies, gaps, and data issues.
- Work with professional, facility, pharmacy, and dental claims datasets, including both pre-adjudicated and post-adjudicated data.
- Apply knowledge of medical coding and classification systems such as ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and DRG.
- Understand and interpret claim adjustment logic and how it affects downstream analysis.
- Check customer-provided data for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with platform requirements.
- Validate information after it is loaded into the system and help resolve discrepancies with internal teams.
- Maintain documentation for data mappings, transformations, and quality issues.
- Collect and record business and data requirements from internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare and update process documents, data dictionaries, mapping notes, recommendations, and project status updates.
- Support testing and validation for new implementations and product enhancements.
- Create customer-facing reports and internal analytical outputs.
- Investigate patterns, anomalies, and opportunities to improve data and workflows.
- Help monitor data health and overall platform performance over time.
- Work across Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Data Operations to support customer deployments.
- Join customer discussions, gather details, and help drive issue resolution.
- Share progress updates on assigned tasks and deliverables.
- Use Excel and Office 365 tools for analysis and reporting.
- Write and run SQL queries for data review, validation, and analysis.
- Contribute to automation and process improvement efforts where relevant.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role.
- Hands-on experience with healthcare claims, provider, or member data.
- Working knowledge of healthcare claims processing and payment workflows.
- Experience gathering business requirements and turning them into clear documentation.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office 365.
- Ability to write SQL queries.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and organization skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to data quality.
- Preferred experience in healthcare payment integrity, fraud, waste, and abuse programs.
- Exposure to SaaS products and implementation projects is an advantage.
- Familiarity with healthcare coding systems such as ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS is preferred.
- Experience with SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools is a plus.
Remote Work Requirements
Employees working remotely must have a stable high-speed internet connection that performs reliably on the company-issued laptop. Internet quality should be checked directly on the laptop using a speed test, rather than relying only on the internet plan purchased from the provider.
Physical Requirements
This position involves standard office work, whether performed on-site or from home. The role requires the ability to work at a desk, use a computer, and operate common office equipment.
Accessibility
Candidates who need reasonable accommodation during any stage of the hiring process because of a physical or mental disability may request support by emailing careers@codoxo.com with the subject line “Accommodation.” Requests will be reviewed individually.
Benefits
- Health, dental, and vision coverage with 100% employee premium paid by the employer, beginning on day 1.
- Unlimited paid time off.
- Annual stipend for professional development.
- Annual home office stipend.
- 401(k) match after 90 days.

The employer offers equal employment opportunities and does not tolerate discrimination or harassment based on race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other legally protected characteristic. This applies to all employment terms and conditions.
