Role Overview

This opportunity is for a commercially minded and proactive Business Development Manager to take ownership of growth across a premium territory in Canterbury. The position goes beyond traditional sales: you will connect client-facing opportunities with internal technical capability, working closely with specialist department managers across several divisions.

Your core focus will be on winning high-value work, prioritising sectors and projects that deliver stronger margins. You will step into an established pool of warm customers that needs ongoing relationship management, while also building new opportunities through active market prospecting.

  • Work alongside department managers across multiple service divisions to support business growth.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • You have a strong hunting mindset and are comfortable initiating contact, making cold calls, and opening doors with new prospects.
  • Experience in electrical, construction, or building services will be a significant advantage.
  • You can think strategically and assess where the highest-margin opportunities lie.
  • You work well in a collaborative setting and enjoy partnering with operational leaders to keep clients satisfied.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base pay in the range of NZ$100,000 to NZ$110,000, depending on experience.
