About the role

This position focuses on driving sales growth, expanding market share, and improving competitiveness by delivering market-responsive, differentiated service across clearly defined customer segments. The role contributes to stronger commercial performance by building sustainable relationships and ensuring strong execution in the field.

What you will do

  • Meet sales goals within the assigned territory.
  • Oversee distributors in the assigned area, including orders, collections, and redistribution activities.
  • Make sure company products are consistently available in the right range at customer and retail locations.
  • Maintain strong merchandising standards, including brand visibility through point-of-sale materials and chillers.
  • Ensure chillers are correctly positioned in high-performing outlets and used only for company products in the assigned sector.
  • Track recommended product pricing at sales outlets.
  • Keep a close watch on competitor activity and market movements.
  • Monitor distributor volume targets on a daily basis and communicate performance updates.
  • Ensure distributors follow model stock levels for all brands and pack sizes.
  • Deliver all relevant sales KPIs in the area, including pricing, availability, and visibility.
  • Visit retail customers in the area every week.
  • Keep the sales team consistently professional in appearance and take action when standards are not followed.
  • Provide reliable after-sales support.
  • Maintain communication channels that support strong customer relationships.
  • Give customers and management timely feedback on concerns and issues.
  • Respond quickly to customer queries.
  • Remain presentable at all times and keep all required trade documents on hand.

Skills and competencies

The role calls for strong sales execution, field coordination, and the ability to work effectively with distributors, customers, and internal teams. It also requires clear communication, organisation, and the discipline to perform under pressure.

Minimum requirements

  • A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Marketing or another relevant field.
  • At least 2 years of sales experience in the FMCG sector.
  • Good theoretical and practical understanding of FMCG sales.
