Role Overview

This position is for a CAD Draftsman who will be responsible for producing accurate structural and fabrication drawings for PEMB and steel structure projects, while coordinating closely with engineers and project teams to maintain quality, accuracy, and schedule adherence.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive PEMB drawing sets, including general arrangement drawings, anchor bolt layouts, framing plans, elevations, sections, and connection details.
• Prepare precise fabrication and erection drawings in line with engineering inputs and project specifications.
• Revise and update drawings to reflect customer feedback, design changes, and engineering updates.
• Work with structural engineers, project teams, and detailers to keep drawings complete and technically correct.
• Follow established drafting standards and ensure all work aligns with project quality expectations and specifications.
• Check drawings carefully for dimensions, consistency, and overall accuracy before they are issued.
• Assist with drawing control, documentation, and project record management tasks.
• Complete drafting work within agreed project timelines.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should have a civil engineering background and strong hands-on drafting experience in PEMB or structural steel detailing. The role requires confidence in AutoCAD, the ability to interpret engineering drawings, and familiarity with U.S. project standards.

Requirements

• Diploma or B.Tech/B.E. in Civil Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• 2–3 years of experience in PEMB drafting or detailing.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Solid understanding of structural steel drawings and construction documentation.
• Ability to read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings and specifications.
• High attention to detail with good organizational skills.
• Effective communication and coordination skills.
• Prior exposure to USA PEMB projects is preferred.
• Familiarity with AISC, MBMA, and related U.S. industry standards.
• Experience preparing fabrication and erection drawings for steel structures.

Eligibility

Applicants with a B.Tech/B.E. in Civil Engineering or a Diploma in Civil Engineering are eligible to apply.
