Role overview
Qatar Airways Cargo is hiring a Cargo Freighter Operations Supervisor for its Jeddah office in Saudi Arabia. This role sits within the Cargo & Airport Operations function and focuses on keeping freighter operations running smoothly across the assigned region.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate closely with Sales/GSA and GHA teams so booking priorities are understood, FBL instructions are clear, special cargo is handled properly, and pre-alerts are issued in time.
- Put in place practical measures that improve service quality while keeping operating costs under control.
- Track station-level performance carefully and record all exceptions or service failures affecting the supply chain, including issues with GHA, GSA/Sales, booking mismatches, ramp handling, and import-related hub problems, with all irregularities logged centrally in CROAMIS.
- Protect freighter on-time performance by preventing delays caused by ground handling activities across the assigned region and ensuring all necessary arrangements are completed well before operations.
- Reduce discrepancies and non-conformances so that claims and penalties are minimized, customer satisfaction improves, and carrier exposure is lowered.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification is required.
- At least 4 years of experience in air cargo management is needed.
- Hands-on exposure to aircraft turnaround coordination and warehouse handling is essential.
- Knowledge of dangerous goods procedures and live animal certification is required.
