Role Overview

This is a walk-in opportunity for a Charge Entry role in Chennai. The position is suited for candidates with 0 to 2 years of experience and offers a day-shift working arrangement.

Responsibilities

• Accurately input medical charges, patient demographic details, and insurance information into the billing platform.
• Check patient records to confirm the information is complete and correct before processing.
• Examine charge tickets, encounter sheets, and related documents to ensure the data is accurate.
• Spot mismatches or missing information and correct them before charges are submitted.
• Process charges within the required turnaround time set by the client.
• Work to meet the organization’s productivity and quality benchmarks.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to clarify incomplete or inconsistent information.
• Adhere to HIPAA requirements and safeguard patient confidentiality at all times.
• Prepare and update daily reports covering production and quality performance.

Requirements

• 0 to 2 years of relevant experience in charge entry or a related medical billing function.
• Preferably familiar with medical billing and revenue cycle management concepts.
• Comfortable using MS Excel and performing data entry work.
• High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
• Good analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Capable of working in a high-volume, fast-moving environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
