Job description

Role overview

This full-time, in-office Motor Claims position at Sippy Downs is a great fit for someone who enjoys supporting people and wants to understand how insurance claims are handled end to end. You will take over claims after they have been lodged and help keep them progressing, while also guiding customers through what happens next.

No prior insurance background is required. The role includes structured training, coaching, and team support so you can build your skills while learning on the job.

What you’ll do

  • Take ownership of claims once they have been submitted and move them through the next stages.
  • Act as a main point of contact for customers, repairers, and assessors, and keep all parties informed.
  • Manage a group of claims at different stages using workflow queues and daily task priorities.
  • Review policy details and claim information to help support balanced and fair decisions.
  • Arrange repairs, coordinate hire vehicles, and follow up on quotes and status updates.
  • Maintain clear and precise records so claims remain compliant and continue progressing.
  • Handle customer calls with professionalism, including conversations with people who may be stressed or upset.
  • Explain next steps clearly so customers know what to expect.

This is an office-based role with set start and finish times, helping you plan life outside work.
