What the role involves

  • Carrying out cleaning duties within a prison setting.
  • Helping maintain a safe, secure, and hygienic environment.
  • Working as part of a wider facilities team that supports day-to-day operations.
  • Contributing to the rehabilitation-focused mission of the organisation.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a cleaning environment.
  • Good understanding of COSHH.
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety standards.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time well.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others.

Benefits and workplace culture

Additional non-contractual benefits include death in service cover at four times salary, access to private GP consultations, and an Employee Assistance Programme with counselling and information support for preventative care and crisis situations. The role also comes with financial reward schemes and retailer discounts.

The organisation places strong emphasis on safety, inclusion, and professional growth. Employees are encouraged to build their skills, progress in their careers, and work in an environment where every person is valued and respected.
