Role overview
The Bank of East Asia is hiring a Client Services Manager for its Private Banking team in Singapore. In this role, you will support senior Relationship Managers by handling client servicing, documentation, transactional support, and day-to-day account-related coordination for private banking clients.
Key responsibilities
- Support senior Relationship Managers in delivering private banking services to clients.
- Respond to questions from clients about financial markets and account details in a courteous, professional way.
- Deliver high-quality customer service in line with the standards and guidelines set by regulators and the Bank.
- Suggest products and services that suit clients’ needs, risk appetite, and affordability, while sharing clear and accurate information throughout and after the sales process.
- Provide advice that is professional, suitable, and aligned with each customer’s individual circumstances and best interests.
- Explain complaint, redress, and claims processes during and after the sales process, and whenever requested.
- Prepare documentation required for new client account opening.
- Assist senior Relationship Managers with client instructions for securities investments and other banking transactions.
- Support the preparation of credit proposals, credit amendments, and credit reviews.
- Track remittances, loans, deposits, and securities investment transactions that are pending settlement on value day.
- Help with the daily review of collateral and loan positions across all credit facilities.
- Maintain and securely store client records and files.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or university qualification is preferred.
- Certification in CACS Paper 1 and Paper 2 is required.
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience, ideally in private banking.
- Strong understanding of banking processes and procedures.
- Good knowledge of credit and investment products.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Strong written and spoken English and Chinese communication skills.
- Good presentation and interpersonal communication abilities.
