Role summary
This opportunity is for a Compensation Partner who will work closely with business leaders, HR Business Partners, the Global Compensation team, and other internal stakeholders. The role focuses on supporting compensation strategy, program design, implementation, and administration in a highly competitive talent environment.
The position may be based in San Francisco, Mountain View, New York, or Chicago. The working model is hybrid, with time split between home and a LinkedIn office based on business needs.
What you will do
You will act as a consultative advisor on compensation matters, analyze compensation structures, help shape competitive offers, and present market and pay insights to leadership.
- Partner with business leaders and HR Business Partners on compensation strategy, annual cycles, ongoing programs, and related initiatives.
- Serve as the main contact for compensation-related employee questions routed through HR Business Partners.
- Prepare compensation recommendations for external hires, internal transfers, and international moves.
- Support annual compensation planning by aligning investment approaches, reviewing manager proposals, building analytical models, and advising decision-makers.
- Take part in salary and equity range reviews and use internal and external benchmarking data to inform recommendations.
- Monitor market conditions and compensation practices to keep pay programs competitive and equitable.
- Help create briefing and enablement materials for Leadership Team meetings.
- Work with cross-functional partners and enterprise resources to deliver consistent outcomes across business areas.
- Resolve operational issues and complex queries from internal and external partners.
- Coordinate with global or regional teams to maintain consistency and compliance across geographies.
- Use strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and develop compensation models that support automated, data-driven decisions.
- Perform ad hoc compensation analyses to identify ways to improve existing programs.
- Help drive compensation initiatives that promote globalization, standardization, and automation.
- Educate stakeholders on compensation policies, market trends, and best practices through communication and consultation.
- Support broader organizational transformation efforts.
Qualifications
Applicants should have either a BA/BS degree or equivalent experience with 4+ years of relevant experience in compensation, finance, HR, data analytics, or a related area, or 7+ years of experience in those fields.
Preferred experience includes presenting analytical insights clearly to small and large groups, using tools such as Excel, PowerBI, data modeling, and data reporting, and working with internal client relationships.
Additional strengths include advanced data analysis and visualization, strong written and verbal communication, the ability to work across a complex organization, an action-oriented mindset, adaptability, creativity in solving problems, and familiarity with systems such as Workday.
Compensation
The expected annual pay range for this role is $116,000 to $189,000. Final pay will depend on factors such as skills, experience depth, certifications, and location.
The overall package may also include an annual performance bonus, stock, benefits, and/or other incentive-based compensation.
