Role overview

This position is for a Senior Consultant (Level 2) focused on infrastructure advisory in Qatar. The role centers on day-to-day project execution while also supporting the management team in expanding the Infrastructure Advisory practice.

The work will involve a broad mix of infrastructure advisory assignments, including feasibility assessments, market and demand studies, business planning, and the creation of advanced financial models. The role is designed for someone with a solid consulting background who wants to deepen expertise across advisory, finance, and transaction support work.

Key projects and scope

The selected professional will contribute to infrastructure and major capital projects, with a strong emphasis on public-private partnership assignments on both the authority side and the developer/bidder side. Experience across the full PPP transaction cycle, from need assessment through to financial close, is highly valuable.

Relevant project exposure may include schools, hospitals, car parks, government buildings, and social infrastructure such as affordable housing, labor accommodation, public facilities, and related amenities.

Core duties

Responsibilities include supporting project deliverables, preparing financial models, assessing value for money, drafting reports and information memorandums, and developing pitch materials. The role also requires evaluating client needs, researching possible approaches, and shaping practical recommendations.

Additional expectations include assisting with project budgeting, estimating effort and timelines, managing cash flow, tracking recoveries, and building productive relationships with clients, channel partners, and third-party service providers. There is also an opportunity to mentor junior consultants and analysts.

Experience and qualifications

Candidates should have at least 5 years of relevant experience in advisory or consulting, ideally with a Big 4 firm or a comparable global or regional consulting organization. A postgraduate qualification in management or an MBA is preferred. Candidates with a graduate degree and professional specializations such as CA, CFA, or CAIA are also suitable. A bachelor’s degree in engineering or architecture is preferred alongside the postgraduate background.

The role also calls for strong academic performance, excellent written and verbal English, and a bilingual profile in English and Arabic being an advantage. IFRS exposure is desirable.

Strong capability in Excel and PowerPoint is essential, along with the ability to build and review complex financial models, perform valuations, and carry out research and data analysis. Good presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills are also important, along with the ability to work collaboratively in teams.
