Role Summary

The Continuous Improvement Specialist will join the Continuous Improvement function within the Finance Department and report to the CI Manager. This role is key to advancing the organization’s transformation agenda by improving cross-functional processes and advising Finance and other leaders on actions that support broader business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review current workflows and introduce focused improvements to strengthen financial and operational performance.
  • Map and design future processes that are efficient, controlled, and able to scale with business growth.
  • Use root-cause analysis to uncover risks and solve complicated issues with practical and innovative approaches.
  • Prepare business cases and executive presentations that help leadership evaluate and adopt improvement proposals.
  • Build strong working relationships across functions, lead workshops, and keep stakeholders aligned on CI efforts.
  • Create and execute change management plans that encourage adoption of new processes and systems.
  • Drive employee readiness through training, communication, and support after go-live.
  • Assist the CI Manager and Director through all stages of project delivery, including analysis, design, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Define and track KPIs to assess the effectiveness and business impact of improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Project Management, or a closely related discipline is required; a master’s degree is considered an advantage.
  • At least 7 years of professional experience, with 3 or more years focused on finance/business transformation and process improvement.
  • Solid understanding of accounting and finance operations such as month-end close, financial reporting, and the general ledger.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, or a similar certification is an advantage; consulting experience is also beneficial.
  • Strong ability in analysis, critical thinking, and structured problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills, stakeholder management capability, and leadership presence.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams even without direct reporting authority.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio.
  • French/English bilingualism is an advantage.
